Inside sat his keys, his wallet, his cigarettes on the dashboard, and the prescription eyeglasses he legally required to see. Bill hated driving at night and had no reason to be on that dark highway—yet his physical trail vanished into the thin air of the Oklahoma prairie.

In this episode, we dive deep into the multi-jurisdictional gridlock that stalled the early days of the hunt, the grueling volunteer sweeps through the dense salt cedar thickets of the North Canadian River basin, and the agonizing psychological toll of "ambiguous loss" endured by his family.
